Whispers In The Night

"Have you ever heard whispers in the night? Sounds and voices which seem like someone's trying to say something, but for some reason they can't get their message through? Do I sound insane? I wish that maybe for once you'd all answer me. You look like you know all the answers just by standing there.

"Sometimes I wish I had all the answers, but then as I let myself flow into such arrogance, something tells me it's not worth knowing it all. Someone or something whispers, deep inside my mind, that there's no sense in knowing everything, since that makes everything so... Boring. That's the kind of whisper I'm talking about. You've never heard it have you? Or maybe... Hey! I just had an interesting idea. Quite the plot twist. Maybe those whispers are actually--"

"Who are you talking to out there in the cold night, hun?"

"Oh, no one, dear. You must be hearing things. I'm just looking at the stars for a while. Go on back inside, and I'll be there in a minute."

"Huh... Funny. I could swear a heard someone whispering."
